Nunnally, Dexter MAJ, SC

Major Dexter C. Nunnally attended Morehouse College, which was part of Georgia Tech's partnership schools, from 1988-1990. He has since completed two combat tours, one for OEF and one for OIF. His last assignment (2007-2009) was as the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd ID S6 during OIF V and the Bn S3 for 1-3 BSTB, 1BCT, 3rd ID at Fort Stewart, GA. He is currently assigned to Ft. Leavenworth, KS and enrolled in ILE Class 10-01.




LTC Boyd D. Parsons (Retired)

Lieutenant Colonel Boyd Parsons attended Georgia Tech as an Army ROTC scholarship cadet from 1967 to 1971. He trained as a member of the Ranger Company and Persian Rifles. Following the completion of summer camp training at Fort Bragg, NC, he was selected to serve as the Deputy Commander of the Cadet Brigade in his senior year. He was a Distinguished Military Graduate and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management.Commissioned as a Lieutenant of Infantry in June 1971, Lieutenant Colonel Boyd Parsons served as a second generation paratrooper for twenty-five years in Army airborne and special forces units. Most notably, he served as a parachute infantry platoon leader in the 82d Airborne Division and as an infantry company commander in the 2nd Infantry Division in the Demilitarized Zone in Korea. In the Special Forces, he served as a detachment commander in the 5th Special Forces Group, a company commander in the 10th Special Forces Group in Europe, an operations staff officer during combat operations to liberate Panama in 1989, and as Deputy Commander of the 5th Special Forces Group during combat operations to liberate Kuwait in 1991. His awards and decorations include the Valorous Unit Award, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. He retired from the Army in 1996 and now serves as a systems engineer for the Department of Defense.



Major (Promotable) Shawn Lucas

Major Shawn Lucas is from Stone Mountain, GA where he attended both North Georgia College and the Georgia Institute of Technology, from which he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an officer in the Field Artillery. From 1993 until 2003, Major Lucas served in numerous Field Artillery billets while assigned to the 1st Armored Division (Baumholder, Germany) and to the 82nd Airborne Division (Fort Bragg, NC). Major Lucas transitioned to the Acquisition Corps in 2003 and has served as a Test Officer at the Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate and in three different duty positions while assigned to Program Executive Office Soldier at Fort Belvoir, VA. Currently, Major Lucas serves as a Program Analyst for Soldier/Maneuver Systems in the Army G-8, Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate. Major Lucas has participated in several operational deployments to include: Operation Joint Endeavor, Operation Allied Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and is qualified as a Master Parachutist and as a Military Freefall Parachutist.
